Charity champions Lytham Round Table Bring New Year Cheer To Two Youth Groups

Charity champions Lytham Round Table have brought some New Year cheer to two youth groups.

A £500 donation was made to the 8th Lytham St Anne’s Scout Group (featured photograph) and a £450 donation to The Dance Place (photograph below).

The 8th LSA are committed to providing Scouting “Skills for Life” for over 100 boys and girls each week.  They have a small Beaver Scout section, two Cub Scout packs and a Scout troop at their HQ in Haven Road, Lytham.

Beaver Scout leader Cath Newburn said: ‘We meet weekly to deliver a varied programme.  The cost of running activities and providing the achievement badges is immense.  The financial support from Lytham Round Table will be much appreciated by a vast number of families in Lytham as this will mean we will be able to continue to provide a truly special experience whilst the children are in our units.’

The donation to the Blackpool-based Dance Place will enable three youngsters to enjoy a trip of a lifetime to Paris next May. The dance school is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a unique performance on the stage of Disneyland Paris. A huge sponsorship drive has been launched for the 69-strong dance team, aged 5-16, to cover the cost of travel, clothes and dance wear.
