Everyone is invited to commemorate and celebrate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day in Fylde, with music, entertainment and lighting the official beacon. Fylde Council will be lighting the beacon to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day on Thursday 6th June. There will be entertainment from 6.30 p.m. at the Fairhaven Event Space (next to the Spitfire) with the beacon being lit at 9.15 p.m.

During this special evening those attending can enjoy authentic live war-time music from Lancashire Belle and Andy Eastwood, and there will food and refreshments available.

Additionally, Fylde Council warmly invite all veterans to join the celebration and commemorate this day. As a token of sincere appreciation, veterans presenting their badges will receive free VIP hospitality.
