Community Police Presence Stepped Up Following Vandalism And Anti-Social Behaviour

Following anti-socail behaviour and wilful damage to communal areas, officers from the Fylde Neighbourhood Policing Team have committed themselves to monitor these areas and deal with community issues. The recent vandalised damage of the shelter near the windmill has caused deep community concern and the warm Summer nights may also potentially see large gatherings in shared areas.  Fylde Police say they are working in conjunction with staff from local schools to help identify youths committing anti-social behaviour and vandalism.

A spokesperson from Fylde Council added this message to parents and carers, ‘Please can we ask that if you know your child visits this area with their friends that you remind them the dangers of causing such damage to historic structures.’
