Lancashire Police attended a one-vehicle crash on East Beach in Lytham St Anne’s this morning (Tuesday 25th February). Fortunately there were no pedestrians around during the early hours, and a demolished post landed just a few inches away from a parked Mercedes. Sadly, the driver of the van appeared to have suffered a medical episode – which led to the loss of control of the van. The driver was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Meanwhile on Saturday (22 February) police were notified of a white car with a flat tyre being driven on the wrong side of the road in St Annes. The police tried to stop the vehicle which ended up being dumped in the centre of a junction. The motorist was subsequently arrested and the car recovered.
