My name is Chris Hembury and I write, direct and act in a comedy web series called Love Hurts now in its 3rd season which has done very well in the festival circuit winning Awards in LA, Rio, Rome and in South Korea. The previous work is also available on Amazon Prime to be watched.
We are currently making a feature film version of the series that we have been shooting for the past year and looking to finish hopefully around April this year with a big premiere later in the year for the cast and crew.
The story revolves around Josh Hurts a recently heart broken man who concentrates on a massive career boosting job rather than his personal life.
However the interview process takes him on an insane week of too much drinking, political scandals, crazy dates, deranged stalkers and finishes in Amsterdam.
This film production is has been shot all around St Annes on Sea and parts of Blackpool. We have shot several scenes at Inn On The Prom, The Dalmeny Hotel, 54 in St Annes and around the Blackpool Prom, Illuminations and the Hampton by Hilton in Blackpool.
We took the production to Amsterdam last year to get all our exterior shots done for the film and hoping to film all interiors of Amsterdam in St Annes on Sea in locations including The Jazz Emporium, The Urban Arts Studio, Vault in 15s and other bars in the area we are hoping to confirm.
I continue my role as Josh Hurts from the series the story follows and local TV Actor Josh Moran (Gunpowder, Car share and also in Emmerdale tonight) takes a large part of Frank who is Josh’s current boss.
The support of the people of St Annes has been tremendous with a flurry of people wanting to try their hand at acting and have cast many of the local residents in the parts such as Steve Borsley, Dave Porter, Lucas Kennerly, Rebecca Broadhead, Justin De Rizzio George, Joanne Lloyd, Clive Scholes, Sophia James, Sally Cox, Stephen Crabtree, Alan Pill and even Phil Walker is set to do a cameo role in the film.
