Former Lytham St. Anne’s Resident Films Himself Hassling Matt Hancock

A former Lytham St Anne’s resident and well-known activist, Geza Tarjanyi, has hit the headlines having filmed himself hassling Matt Hancock in a London Tube station and allegedly pushing the MP as he was about to walk down an escalator.

61 year old Geza Tarjanyi, who moved from Lytham St.Anne’s to live in Leyland, has previously targeted Sajid Javid, Chris Whitty and Jonathan Van-Tam. Yesterday (Tuesday 24th January) the 61 year old followed the former Health Secretary through Westminster Underground Station and called him a murdering scumbag.  As they approached an escalator, Mr Hancock turned to him and said ‘don’t push me’. The 61-year-old conspiracy theorist then sat next to the former Health Secretary on the Tube and continued to rant at him.

British Transport Police today said: ‘We received a report of a man being assaulted and harassed at Westminster Underground station at 8.47 am yesterday morning. A 61-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of common assault and a public order offence and remains in custody. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.’

Mr Hancock’s spokesman said: ‘Unfortunately Matt was subject to a very aggressive and unpleasant encounter with a dangerous conspiracy theorist on the London Underground.  Both Transport for London staff and the British Transport Police were fantastic and the man has since been arrested.  Fortunately, this sort of behaviour is a rare occurrence, but it’s instances like this that reemphasise the importance of shutting down baseless misinformation which causes so much harm. Matt wants to put on record his thanks to TFL and the British Transport Police for their extraordinary work.’
