Friends Of St Anne’s Station At Radio Lancashire’s ‘Make A Difference Awards’

The annual BBC Make a Difference Awards recognise unsung heroes from across our county, On the recent awards ceremony a wealth of different community organisations were  in attendance.

Sadly the nominated Friends of St. Anne’s Station didn’t win their category ‘The Great Neighbour Award’. However, the volunteers must be congratulated on their nomination and thanked for their wonderful work within our local community.

BBC Radio Lancashire’s Breakfast presenter, Graham Liver, said: ‘I’m so proud that we can recognise brilliant Lancastrians who really care about where they live. Our finalists don’t do it for the recognition but I’m delighted that we can say thank you to these unsung heroes.’

MP Mark Menzies who attended Saturday’s ceremony said,’ Earlier today I attended the BBC Radio Lancashire Make a Difference Awards. It was great to see all the different community organisations in attendance and many congratulations to the winners.

Our commiserations go to the Friends of St. Anne’s Stations who didn’t win today. Regardless of the outcome, they do tremendous work and are hugely valued for the work they do within our community.’
