A fundraiser for four orphaned children in The Gambia has been launched by a group of Lytham residents.
Martin Rowley, who owns Carpets of Lytham, was introduced to the country when he purchased a holiday home. He became friends with Ebrima Dacosta (pictured) who used to work in the compound that Rowley owned property.
Tragically, however, Dacosta’s wife died of malaria and within six weeks Dacosta himself passed away, the couple left four children.
Now, Rowley – alongside Ian and Paula Rigg are seeking to raise enough money to feed, clothe and school these four children.
