Fylde Council Issue Warning As Jellyfish Washed Ashore

A Fylde Council spokesperson has warned beach-goers that there have been reports of jellyfish washing up on our coast.

The spokesperson issued this caution ‘Please be aware that some can still give an unpleasant sting after they die, but if left alone, they are absolutely harmless.’

This comes after a monster jellyfish was washed up on a beach in North West Wales in the latest of giant jellyfish beachings. The massive  ‘dust-bin’ jellyfish (pictured below and in headline photograph) was found in the Welsh coastal village of Fairbourne in Gwynedd.
