Fylde Council uncooperative when questioned about Remembrance Day

Like many events in 2020, Remembrance Day at Lytham Cenotaph is up in the air and locals are struggling to get useful information out of Fylde Council.

British Legion states that local authorities across the whole of the UK remain responsible for setting the parameters of an appropriate ceremony marking Remembrance day in accordance with COVID restrictions relevant to that location.

Many ex forces locals in Lytham are unable to get a straight answer from the council and are growing frustrated as the 11th November gets closer.

With a further lockdown looming, it’s starting to look as though a ceremony commemorating the lives lost in war is off the table.
