Fylde Police Set Up Vehicle Check Point On Ballam Road

Fylde Rural Task Force were out today on Ballam Road (Friday 26th April) as a vehicle check point was set up.  A Police Spokesperson said, ‘We have issued numerous tickets for motoring offences, seized two vehicles and even reported one driver who had not had a driving licence for over 10 years! The DVSA have also issued numerous notices for unsafe vehicles and overweight loads’

The Police were working alongside Fylde Council, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and the Stolen Vehicle Team as part of Operation Sneaker. The operation aims to proactively identify and target vehicles which may be involved in general vehicle crime, incorrect waste management and fly-tipping within the community.

Ballam Road was much quieter decades ago!
