The opening of the extensively refurbished, interactive RSPB Fairhaven Lake Visitors Centre was not only welcomed by many human visitors – but also by a wonderful display of a large mixed flock of dunlim and ringed plover who were pushed up very close by the oncoming tide. Many people were thrilled and intrigued by the spectacle that was unfolding at Granny’s Bay.
