Tracy & Charlotte Dawson Are Convinced Les Has Been Reincarnated As A Robin!

Tracy and Charlotte Dawson have told today’s Star on Sunday (18th July 2021) that they are convinced that the late, great comedian, who would have been 90 this year, has been reincarnated as a robin.

His widow Tracy and daughter Charlotte have said that they see the bird every day.

And they are convinced it is Les as he promised he would visit them from beyond the grave.

Tracy revealed to the Star on Sunday, ‘There is a robin that visits Charlotte’s house and we believe it is Les. It is there every day. It knocks on her window. It’s the same robin that keeps coming back. Charlotte will be in the kitchen and she’ll hear him on the patio window and she’ll run and see him. He comes and she talks to him. It’s so lovely.’

Les had a strong belief reincarnation was possible before his sudden death aged 62 in June 1993.

Tracy added, ‘Les believed in all of that stuff. He really believed in the cosmic force and he believed he would always be around us. Les often talked about it. He believed in life after death. He spent time with Buddhists and learned from that. He never believed death was the end.’

When Les suddenly died from a heart attack it was a massive shock for his loved ones. Tracy is still grief-stricken 28 years later. She said: ‘After I met Les, life was fabulous but then he died very suddenly. I still haven’t got over it. It was a huge shock. Time heals but the grief is still there at anniversaries, birthdays, and Christmas.’

Tracy and Charlotte, who now has a child of her own, Noah, have looked back at old footage of Les in action for a new ITV documentary. Les Dawson: The Lost Tapes features footage of him that has never been aired before, including clips of him presenting BBC quiz Blankety Blank.

Tracy told the Star on Sunday, ‘It was emotional seeing it all. There were tears. It was very sad for me. It was tough for Charlotte too because she wishes he was here. She was crying her eyes out. She was only eight months old when he died. In the videos, it’s like he’s talking to Charlotte through the camera. He says, ‘This is all for you Charlotte’.’

Les Dawson: The Lost Tapes will be shown on ITV this Wednesday evening (21st July) at 9.00 p.m. Unearthing unique previously unseen family footage and clips, the programme reveals a very different side to his very public persona and discovers the real Les away from the spotlight, family man and comedian.

Teaming up with well-known fans including Mrs Brown’s Brendan O Carroll, Jason Manford, Omid Djalili, John Thomson, and lifelong friends including Ruth Madoc and Gloria Hunniford as well as Les’ wife Tracy and daughter Charlotte, ITV uncover never-before-seen material revealing surprises not just to his friends, but his family too.
