FYLDE RANGER SERVICE have identified a giant Hogweed plant on the sand dunes.“A Giant Hogweed plant has been found on the Dunes opposite Bentinck Road in St Annes. Giant Hogweed is highly invasive and is phototoxic.Please do not touch this plant, its sap can cause severe blistering once exposed to sunlight.The team will be out next week to treat it so that it dies back and doesn’t spread.Fylde Council Fylde Sand Dunes Lancashire Wildlife Trust”We have previously reported the dangers of this highly toxic plant, please avoid the area until it’s removed.
