The Coastguard has been called out for a third time today. They said “We were called out for the third time today to reports of person in danger of being cut off by the incoming tide in the Blackpool area, our volunteer coastguards arrived on scene to find the persons making their way off the beach, safety advice was given.
We then spotted a family of 4 playing in the water, one of our CRO’s advised them that the tide was quickly flooding the area and passed on safety advice.
As we were standing down our CGOC in Holyhead received reports of somebody possibly in difficulty in the water close to where we were, we quickly relocated but fortunately the casualty was in the care of North West Ambulance Service and Blackpool Police.
If you see a coastal emergency, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
