Households urged to stop giving away old toys and furniture
Germ conscious residents are asking others to stop putting out their old and unwanted items for other people to take.
The long standing tradition of leaving toys, white goods, old furniture and more outside on the pavement to be taken away by a stranger and given a second lease of life is now causing problems in the area.
One resident, Pete Reynolds, says the practice should stop during the current pandemic after spotting a household leaving out a children’s tricycle to be taken away.
He said “people shouldn’t be leaving their unwanted items out on the street for others to take.
