Local Hero, Julie, Dishes Up 250 Meals A Day To Provide Vital Support For Community Projects

A sincere ‘well done’ to local hero, Julie Lowe, who is featured in this week’s ‘Pick Me Up’ magazine. Since October, the inspirational Julie, who has enjoyed being commis-chef at Blackpool’s Grosvenor Casino for ten years, has dished up 250 meals a day for local projects, providing vital support for those in the community who need most help. Blackpool’s Homeless Community Project and Amazing Graze are just two of the vitally important, benevolent initiatives that have greatly benefited from Julie’s kind-heartedness and compassion.

Since October the Grosvenor Casino has provided an amazing 10,000 meals for so many needy people and families.

Julie, who has been a chef for 25 years, says: ‘This pandemic has been devastating for so many people, but it’s opened my eyes to the issues so many in our community are facing.  Seeing it on your own doorstep is heart-breaking.’

Julie is featured on page three of this week’s popular ‘Pick Me Up’ magazine under the very apt logo ‘Heart Of Britain’.
