A survey put on the Lytham St Annes News Facebook page which has over 12,500 followers, asked the question now that lockdown is starting to ease whether they would consider going on holiday. Although there was a slight majority that voted that they would not go on holiday (55 percent) 45 percent said they would go on holiday. This is reassuring news for the holiday industry as only a matter of weeks ago the majority of local people were dead against the thought of a trip abroad.
Local Travel Counsellor Dona Kirkham kindly commented on this fabulous news; she said “After a really tough few weeks in travel with so much disruption and upset for people that were hoping to go on holiday, I’m really pleased to say that new enquiries have started and people are booking once again!
The green shoots of travel are starting again and it’s wonderful.
Erring on the side of caution, many are booking for 2021 and it’s a great time to book as most prices are level with this year.
There are, that said, enquiries for the summer and winter sun aswell as people are excited at the prospect of summer sun in Europe and far flung places such as Japan and Costa Rica…!
It’s so pleasing and I am certainly happy to be taking new enquiries from regular customers and brand new customers who are looking for a great priced holiday with exceptional service… the world is about to open again and with guidance and advice I’m open for business!!”
