Congratulations to Ms Michelle Neville, the Registered Manager, and her colleagues on a most reassuring report on The Hedges House Residential Hotel, which has just been published by the Quality Care Commission.  The Lytham care home was inspected during February 2020 and was rated ‘good’ in all five categories – being safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

The report states that the home provides personal care for twenty-four people aged 65 and over. The service can support up to thirty-four residents.  The inspectors found that the well-trained staff had a good awareness of the residents’ needs and the home was well maintained to promote safety.  Good practice was followed with the management of medicines, and the inspectors received positive feedback about the standard of food.

Relatives all agreed that the staff were kind and caring.  No one had any complaints at the time of the visit – but all were confident that any complaint would be dealt with effectively.

The Registered Manager, Ms Michelle Neville, spoke to the inspectors passionately about the care provided by the Hotel and together with her colleagues, there was a commitment to provide high-quality, person-centred care.

The Hedges House Residential Hotel’s website, www.hedgeshouse.co.uk, states that it aims to provide dignified care from experienced and long-serving staff, committed to providing a safe, stimulating and homely environment for all residents irrespective of their level of dependency.  You can find the care home on Church Road, Lytham – and the full report is available on the Quality Care Commission web-site.
