The Red Arrows met the ‘Red Barrows’ during the Blackpool Air Show – and it was part of the Lytham Round Table’s North West Air Ambulance Charity fundraiser.
Lytham Round Table are currently fundraising for North West Air Ambulance with the target of raising enough money to cover the cost of one emergency mission. As part of the fundraiser the Lytham Round Table ‘Red Barrows’ met the Red Arrows on Saturday 12th August at Blackpool Airport. The Red Arrows signed a large photo of the jets which will be auctioned off and the proceeds put to the grand total for the fundraiser.
The Air Ambulance based at Blackpool Airport (in photograph below) receives no government or NHS funding and it is only thanks to the generosity of people that they were able to attend over 2,800 incidents last year, making a difference to the lives of many throughout the region. It matters not whether you donate £1 or £20 – every penny counts on this fundraising to help the North West Air Ambulance Charity.
