Local children will be truly delighted to see their wonderful art work publicly displayed at the Lytham Heritage Centre over half term. The exhibition, entitled ‘Our Land, Our Schools’, is a superb showcase of inspirational and creative art work courtesy of children from eight of our local schools.
The exhibition, which opened today, Tuesday 11th February, runs through the half term holiday, and then continues until Sunday 1st March. The Heritage Centre, which hosts this inspiring exhibition, is located at 2 Henry Street, and welcomes visitors from 10.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m. Admission is free of charge.
Pupils from these local schools will proudly see their work in the gallery:
AKS Lytham Preparatory School
Clifton Primary School
Lytham C of E Primary School
Lytham Hall Park Primary School
Our Lady Star of the Sea Primary School
St Anne’s College Grammar School
St Peter’s Catholic Primary School
St Thomas’ C of E Primary School
This new, exciting venture is centred on encouraging children to explore not only the beauty and diversity, but also the contemporary environmental concerns, of our local landscape. These are vividly brought into focus through the children’s imaginative and original artwork. Parents and carers may wish to photograph their own child’s work and then share it on our interactive Facebook page under the heading provided by this article.
Well done to the children on their brilliant artwork.
