Lytham’s Primary Care Centre Is Up-And-Running As A Covid-19 Vaccination Site

A spokesperson for Lancashire NHS has announced that Lytham Primary Care Centre is now fully up-and-running as a Covid-19 vaccination centre. And more local vaccination sites will be confirmed in the coming weeks as Lancashire NHS continue to work with the Council to identify suitable locations. However, Lytham St. Anne’s residents are asked not to contact the NHS for a vaccination and instead wait to be contacted.

Our local Victoria Street site is in addition to the ongoing vaccination centre at Blackpool’s Victoria Hospital, which is continuing to provide the service for the most vulnerable patients.  Also in Blackpool three further centres have been listed: the Gorton Street Practice, South Shore Primary Care Centre and Whitegate Health Centre.  Additionally, Thornton’s Little Theatre is also listed as a vaccination centre.

Jane Scattergood, Covid-19 vaccination director for NHS Lancashire announced, ‘The Covid-19 vaccination programme has gotten off to a strong start across Lancashire and NHS hospitals and primary care centres are working extremely hard to vaccinate as many people as possible in a safe and coordinated way. Please do not contact the NHS for vaccination and instead wait to be contacted. The roll-out of the vaccine involves a wide range of organisations working together and we are working with these partners to identify potential vaccination venues. More vaccination sites will continue to be confirmed over the coming weeks.’
