Look out for next week’s ‘Making Memories in St. Anne’s’ – a brilliant family-friendly event which will be hosted throughout Thursday 13th August, Friday 14th August and Saturday 15th August. This interactive, welcoming initiative is a collaboration of like-minded retailers, cafes, restaurants and business owners who will be proudly presenting a wealth of in-store incentives and a family friendly fun-trail over three wonderful days next week.
As it would have been the 1940s event on Lytham Green the participants will remember and revive this era during these special three days.
St Anne’s is a historical seaside town with so much to offer young and old, with a plethora of independent retail outlets, fine dining and a thriving cafe culture. With many people choosing to explore nearer to home, and embark on a staycation , ‘Making Memories in St. Anne’s’ would like to remind people just how much St Anne’s has to offer, and invite you to ‘make memories’ in St Anne’s this summer ( and future summers!)
Each shop and business subscribing to the trail, will be participating in a number of ways. This may include a dedicated window display, fluttering bunting, hosting a duck on the ‘duck treasure hunt’, being part of the bingo trail card, offering discounts, incentives, live music and Teddy Bears Picnics.
The trail has been devised with several safety measures being of utmost importance, including:
- covid safety compliance,
- achievable social distancing by avoiding large gatherings at any given time
- parental consent and control
- activities being as inclusive as possible for all ages and physical abilities, and affordable or free.
- offering the trail over 3 days should alleviate transport issues, and make it possible for more attendees to participate in their own time.
‘Making Memories in St. Anne’s’ are also delighted to be officially supporting ‘Homestart ‘ which is a local charity assisting families in crisis via a foodbank collection and a bottle tombola to raise funds. The shops and businesses involved hope that ‘Making Memories in St. Anne’s’ will truly create a great day out for all involved, and a fantastic opportunity to make memories in St Anne’s!
