Staff from the Metropole Hotel have today (Tuesday 22nd September) confirmed that the hotel will be closed to the public for three months from the end of this week – Friday 24th September. News of the Britannia Metropole Hotel closure has been disclosed by Hotel staff to LancsLIve. Staff did not give the reasons for the closure but said that bookings are not being taken for guests within this three-month period. The closure to the public for three months comes as discussions on housing asylum seekers continue.
A search for rooms at the Metropole on Booking.com confirms that there is no availability of rooms during this period.
