Blackpool South MP Scott Benton spoke today (Tuesday 7th March) in support of the plans to what he says ‘ to finally tackle the small boats crisis’.  He added that ‘The Home Secretary has announced that any migrants who illegally cross the channel will be detained and removed.  It is vital that the UK is allowed to enforce its borders and is not beholden to the whims of undemocratic foreign courts with no understanding of the concerns of the average Brit.’
