Mark Menzies, MP for Fylde, recently visited The Fairhaven to see at first hand the improvements brought about by a six-figure investment in the popular venue, as well as taking opportunity to enjoy a drink with Lisa McCabe, the General Manger (pictured).

The Fairhaven in part of the portfolio of the Stonegate Group, the largest pub company in the UK. A spokesperson for the group says that their investment in the venue has given the warm, welcoming pub a modern yet traditional makeover inside and out.  This means that everyone is now welcome, with various styles of seating options available inside and classic picnic tables outside, making The Fairhaven a great place to socialise with friends and family.

The bar has a refreshed drinks menu, with a wide range of drinks including regional and local cask ales and craft ciders, cocktails and a number of gins, which feature in the pubs Gin of the Month specials. The food menu has likewise been refreshed, featuring a range of delicious new dishes including hearty pies, classic burgers with a range of toppings available to customise and traditional Sunday Roasts that everyone will enjoy.

MP Mark Menzies said, ‘It was great to visit The Fairhaven and see all the work that has gone on both inside and outside. This is a real community pub and I was pleased to hear how Lisa and her team want to work with local groups and residents to make the business a success. With Fairhaven Lake just a stone’s throw away it is really good to know the pub is dog friendly. The refurbishment looks lovely and I know Lisa and her team are working hard to make a success of The Fairhaven. It was lovely to catch up with her and I hope to be able to visit again in the future.’

Lisa McCabe, General Manager of The Fairhaven, replied, ‘Welcoming Mr Menzies to The Fairhaven was fantastic, it was lovely to meet with him to show him around our wonderful pub and talk to him about our role within the local community. The pub new look has given it a new face within the community whilst keeping the same warm welcoming character it had previously. It is great to see so many new and returning faces and we can’t wait to keep welcoming more individuals in.’
