MP Menzies In-Tent On Supporting Scouts To Explore The Great Outdoors

Fylde MP Mark Menzies posed with leaders from West Lancashire Scouts to celebrate the wonderful work the Scouting movement does in Lancashire. MP Menzies applauded the work of the movement saying that it gives, ‘Young people important life skills and opportunities to explore the great outdoors.’ He added, ‘West Lancs Scouts have exciting plans to invest and develop their adventure centre in Waddecar, ensuring future generations can similarly enjoy such experiences.’

Waddecar is set in the Forest of Bowland, an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is situated to the north of Beacon Fell and on the River Brock, with access to the Bleasdale Fells. There lies a range of camping terrains from open fields (see picture below) to leafy woodland and riverside pitches. There is also a variety of indoors accommodation on offer and lots of on-site activities to choose from.
