MP Menzies Meets Levelling Up Secretary Michael Gove To Discuss Fylde Improvements

Local MP Mark Menzies joined fellow Fylde coast Tory MPs Scott Benton and Paul Maynard to meet the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities, Michael Gove, today (Thursday 10th November) , taking the opportunity to don hard hats whilst scrutinising and surveying  the Blackpool Central development.  MP Menzies made time to make the case for infrastructure developments such as the doubling of the South Fylde Railway Line.

MP Menzies said, ‘A new £40m fund to relocate the Fylde coast’s magistrates courts is most welcome, helping realise the full potential of the £300m scheme. New attractions up the coast in Blackpool provide a boost for our tourist economy here in Fylde and help make the case for infrastructure  investments, like the doubling of the South Fylde line, something I’m pressing Ministers to deliver.’

  1. Fantastic news about all the new development and customer attractions and facilities being built………………….now, if only there were enough centralised places for those people to park their cars when they want to travel to use them.

Must have been the same planning organisation that devised the ‘shared car & people place’ that replaced the main promenade road and pavements……………………………we are truly blessed with so many architectural, design and planning geniuses in this area!
