As I took my walk for the day with my family (don’t worry, we live in the same household!) I was enjoying the beautiful sunshine on Lytham St Anne’s beach near Starr Gate, something looked a little strange in the corner of my eye.
At first I almost missed them, as they blended in so well with the pebbled beach, but as I looked more closely I saw not one, not two, but five beautiful pebble sculptures surrounding a large piece of driftwood.
Can you find them all in this picture?
The sculptures were constructed from beach pebbles of various sizes balancing on top of each other and on larger pieces of industrial concrete.
Having never seen these sculptures before, I believe they’ve been made by someone who might be self-isolating and have a bit more time on their hands, and who enjoys using nature to create artwork.
Beach artwork is essential daily exercise, right?
