Fylde Council say that the consultation on the sea wall defence project for The Island in St Anne’s has been a major success with lots of great feedback and constructive ideas.

In response, the Council report that they are developing a revised proposal that will include the retention of the beach huts, golf and miniature railway concessions as well as improve the lifeboat access. Subject to final approval from project partners including the concession holders who have been fully engaged throughout the process, a revised proposal will be put before members.
