Local listeners to the popular talk station Leading Britain’s Conversation (LBC) will no longer hear Nigel Farage
In a statement released on social media, LBC today has said: ‘Nigel Farage’s contract with LBC is up very shortly and, following discussions with him, Nigel is stepping down from LBC with immediate effect.’
The statement continued, ‘We thank Nigel for the enormous contribution he has made to LBC and wish him well.’ LBC gave no reason for this sudden departure.
Nigel hosted The Nigel Farage Show on LBC from 6.00 p.m. – 7.00 p.m. each Monday to Thursday and was also on air each Sunday from 10.00 a.m. During the show Nigel shared his own reflections on the day’s political updates – and discussed these with listeners who phoned in on 03456060973. As with LBC shows, listeners get involved in the debates.
LBC is one of commercial radio’s biggest success stories, last year recording a significant rise of more than half a million listeners, to a record 2.78 million.
