No Fylde Child To Be Without A Gift This Christmas

Lytham-based IHOPE is strongly encouraging the community to come together to help provide gifts to all primary and secondary school children across the Fylde, other families with younger children, and those notified through organisations, that otherwise may not get any.

The appeal, which is supported by Fylde Council, aims to make sure no child of the Fylde is left without a gift this Christmas.

The appeal has  officially launched today (Monday 7th November) and there are already several drop of points across Fylde.  These include:

  • St. Anne’s Town Hall
  • AFC Fylde
  • The Queen’s Hotel
  • Lytham House
  • The Ship Elswick
  • The Eagle Weeton

IHope is also asking additional local businesses to kindly help by becoming a drop-off point – the contact  email address in on the featured poster.

Local schoolboy MIchele Chiaramonte told Lytham St Anne’s News “when I saw the poster it made me emotional thinking about the poor children who would get no presents so I decided to act, I found the largest cardboard box in the house and I am filling it up with all my old toys that I enjoyed in my early childhood”.  The St Bedes pupil added ” I will be encouraging my friends to do the same.”
