Plasterer Whose BMW Ended Up In Kirkham Field Was 2.5 Times Over Drink Drive Limit

A thirty-year-old plasterer from Salwick, near Kirkham was driving his BMW in an erratic manner when he was spotted by an off-duty police officer. Kieran Hudson was observed bumping into kerbs, before crashing through a hedge and ending up landing in a field near his home on Boltons Croft. Hudson was found to be two and half times over the drink-drive limit. He admitted drink driving at Blackpool Magistrates Court on Tuesday 8th March. As a consequence, he was banned from driving for two years, handed 100 hours of unpaid work and ordered to pay £180 in cost.  His lawyer Steven Townley explained to the court that Hudson had been drinking at home. He said, ‘He had been drinking at home and then took a risk, taking country lanes to the nearest shop.’
