Blackpool Pleasure Beach has announced that it is planning to reopen on 4th July. They say they have introduced a range of new policies and procedures to ensure that the amusement park remains as safe as possible for all their guests.
However, the amusement park asks guests not to visit if they have any symptoms associated with COVID-19. They say they may also ask guests to have a temperature check at the park entrance.
On some rides it may be necessary to leave empty seats between guests. Strict guidelines will be provided for each individual ride and attraction.
Other measures the Pleasure Beach will introduce include:
• There will be a cap on the number of guests allowed on the park.
• Certain rides will require guests to wear face coverings.
• There will be frequent and enhanced deep cleaning measures on rides and attractions.
• New hand sanitiser facilities will be placed around the park.
• Staff temperatures will be tested before they start work each day and they will wear appropriate PPE to protect themselves and guests.
• Social distancing measures in queue lines will be introduced around the park.
• Contactless payments will be required instead of cash.
• A new online food ordering system using mobile phones will be introduced.
• Guest experiences such as photograph opportunities with park characters will be modified or suspended to ensure social distancing is maintained.
• A dedicated team of security officers will patrol the park at all times.
• The direction of travel along some of the park walkways will change.
