POLAR FREEZE PREDICTED FOR MONTH END

It’s going to be a tad chilly in Leafy.

Forecasters are warning of a big freeze, at the end of November, likened to the plunging temperatures of the harsh winter experience of 2010/11. Lytham residents are urged to wrap up warm, and get your big coat on.

From The Express.

Locals might just be lucky to stay dry this Saturday for the double bubble switch on of the Christmas lights, both in Lytham, and St Anne’s this coming Saturday. After that, it’s moon boots and de-icer.

One Lytham Schoolboy, Tarquin, 9, told us, “I’m ready for a few snow days. I’m not liking these winter mornings. There’s no way my Nanny will drive the Range Rover to school in icy conditions. She’ll wrap it. Plus, I need to catch up on some Fifa before Christmas comes”.

Get your hats scarves and gloves out, Winter is coming.
