Police Appeal After Pedestrian Seriously Injured Following Collision On Lytham Road

A  pedestrian was rushed to hospital with serious head and leg injuries after being hit by a Peugeot car on Lytham Road in Blackpool at around 6.00 p.m. yesterday (Thursday 10th February).

The pedestrian, a woman in her 30s, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with serious leg and head injuries.

The road was closed for four hours, between the junctions at Station Road and Hampton Road.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said, ‘We were called by the North West Ambulance Service at 6pm yesterday (February 10) to Lytham Road, Blackpool, following reports of a collision involving a Peugeot car and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a woman in her 30s, was been taken to Royal Preston Hospital with serious leg and head injuries. No arrests have been made.’
