Queensway Collision Causes Traffic Chaos

A collision between two cars resulted in Police and paramedics being called to Queensway just after noon today (Monday 17th October). The crash resulted in one of the vehicles overturning. Lancashire Constabulary said all people involved in the crash were able to get out of their vehicles, whilst North West Ambulance said two casualties were assessed and received treatment.

There were long delays and congestion in the area as the road was closed in both directions between Progress Way and Kilnhouse Lane in St Anne’s. This closure was shared on our live on-the-spot video earlier today,

In a statement, Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: ‘At 12:20 on 17 October, two fire engines from St Anne’s and South Shore attended a road traffic collision on Common Edge Road, Lytham St Anne’s. The incident involved two vehicles. Two casualties were assessed and received treatment from North West Ambulance Service paramedics.
