RNLI Lytham St Anne’s Invite You To Leg it for Lytham 2023

Over 10th and 11th June, you are invited by Lytham St Anne’s RNLI to take up the Leg it Challenge with their boat crew, although the boat crew will be doing this fully kitted and pulling a D-Class Lifeboat. However, don’t worry if you can’t make it that weekend or if an 11 a.m. start is too early – you can do this challenge anytime throughout the whole of June!

The run/walk is 5.65 km (or 3.5 miles) route from the Lytham boathouse (on Central Beach, FY8 5LG) to the St Anne’s boathouse (on South Promenade, Eastbank Road FY8 1SJ).

Everyone is welcome – runners, walkers, toddlers, pram pushers, dog walkers, wheel chair and mobility scooters. Everyone will be able to follow the beautiful coastal path from Lytham to the beach at St Anne’s which, providing the weather is good, gives great views over the Ribble Estuary and the Irish Sea to the Welsh mountains.

At the end of the run/walk hot drinks, cakes and a BBQ will be found waiting for you at St Anne’s lifeboat station from 11.30 a.m. – 2 p.m. to celebrate your achievement.

The RNLI Lytham St. Anne’s are hoping to raise £1,000.00. The team suggest £10 per adult and £5 per child but the amount is entirely up to you. You can also ask your supporters to sponsor you and donate too if you wish. For any enquires please contact fundraising@lythamlifeboats.co.uk. As a charity, the RNLI depends on our donations so it can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe.
