Rude Magazine Advert in Co-Op Ansdell Sends Local Mother into a Relentless Rage

A “rude” advertisement has sent an Ansdell mother in to a relentless rage.  The advert which is promoting The Vegetarian Butcher is headlined “Little Willies Big Flavour” and it has infuriated local mother Patricia Byrne.  Patricia told Lytham St Annes News “I think penile humour like this should be put on the top shelf. I don’t find sexual humour amusing at all – it is highly immoral and inappropriate.  School children shop in stores like this, and it may give them the wrong idea.  My sons saw it and kept asking me embarrassing questions, I didn’t know where to look.  It put me in an incredibly awkward position. ”

The advert in the magazine has been readily available in the Co-Op on Woodlands Road, Ansdell.

However, the Vegetarian Butcher Little Willies Sausages are proving popular for vegans, and the advert further says “sink your teeth into these delicious vegetarian versions of the traditional Lincolnshire sausage and are, as tradition requires, flavoured with sage. These tasty wonders are well seasoned and rich in protein. Try them for a BBQ or as a snack. These sausages are a wise choice!”
