Self-Confessed Lytham Lover Bradley Walsh Enjoys An Amazing 28 Hours On Our Screens Over The Past Days. And There Is More to Come……

You may have spotted Bradley Walsh many times on both BBC and ITV over the festive season. Indeed, the comedian, presenter and actor clocked up an amazing 28 hours on our screens in the past 21 days. And this excludes endless repeats of programmes such as ‘The Chase’ on channels like Challenge!
Sixty year old Bradley, who in his younger days was seen so often on stage in a wealth of Blackpool shows, including regularly presenting the Mystique show at the Horseshoe Showbar as well as frequently featuring at the Opera House and North Pier. Indeed, back in 2006, he said one of his proudest achievements was to be named on Blackpool’s Opera House Roll Of Honour (pictured below). And prior to that, in 1994, Brad struck up a lasting friendship with the late Bobby Ball, having worked together in a long running Blackpool Summer Show (also pictured below).
Brad, who once joked, ‘Seven days in Blackpool makes one week!’, has enthused on TV about Lytham St. Anne’s, highlighting the lovely Fairhaven Lake, saying it was a super place for walking, relaxing and taking in the wildlife. He also highly recommended to viewers the Fairhaven Café with its mouth-watering Dundee Cake.

And there is much more of Bradley to hit our screens in 2021 as he is to star in a six-part remake of the drama ‘The Darling Buds Of May’ later this year, playing Pop Larkin, the character portrayed by David Jason in the original 1990s series. Following this it is proposed that he will front a brand new series of the BBC game show ‘Blankety Blank’, stepping into the shoes of the late TV legends Terry Wogan and Les Dawson, after the Christmas pilot episode attracted 5.3 million viewers. Meanwhile a new series of Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad will soon air, featuring Brad with his son Barney, 21. And, of course, The Chase continues….
