St Anne’s Business Fined £1,000 For Trading During Lockdown

Following complaints, officials from Fylde Council observed customers entering Mavrick’s Barbers on St Alban’s Road.  Consequently, a £1000 fine and a prohibition closure notice has now been served.

A Fylde Council spokesperson said, ‘Following complaints alleging that the shop was open with a booking system via Facebook, the Council witnessed clientele entering the premises to use the facilities. The proprietor has also been issued with a £1000 fixed penalty notice. The public should be aware that they also could be fined £200 for visiting any premises required to close under the lockdown.’
