Storm Christoph will sweep towards Lytham St. Anne’s tomorrow (Tuesday) with our coastline facing torrential rain over two consecutive days.
The Met Office named the incoming storm Christoph earlier today and updated weather warnings across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to reflect the newly named storm.
The Met. Office tweeted, ‘Storm Christoph has been named, with heavy rain and flooding likely on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.’
This is the third storm of the 2020/21 storm season so far, with Alex and Bella preceding Christoph earlier in the season.
The Environment Agency has also warned parts of Northern, Central and Eastern England to prepare for ‘significant flooding’ in some areas from tomorrow morning as Christoph brings very heavy rainfall.
