Crews from fire stations across the Fylde coast were called to a blaze in a derelict building on Queensway in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The building was well alight when the fire service arrived at 2.39 a.m. and the firefighters used two jets, two light portable pumps and lighting to extinguish the fire. In total six fire engines from St Annes, South Shore, Blackpool, Lytham and Bispham and the aerial ladder platform from Blackpool attended the fire,
After tackling the fire for three hours, by 05:45 a.m. the incident was reduced to two fire engines and the aerial ladder platform.
The fire is thought to be of suspicious origin.
