It has been reported that a serious assault took place on St Patricks Road North last Thursday afternoon (24th February) at around 4.30 p.m.  A 14-year-old girl was badly beaten and her friend had a knife held to his throat by a group of youths, who were also aged about 14. It is alleged that this is the group of youths who have been responsible for further serious assaults on Hope Street Park and in the Square.
