Our local theatre has closed its doors for the next thirty days and has now issued a list of the shows cancelled. The theatre provided this statement:
‘We regret to inform you that The Lowther Pavilion Theatre will be closing due to current situation and the latest government guidance. We’ll be revaluating the situation again in 30 days.
The theatre team are working on rescheduling all events during this period, all tickets holders will be contacted by our team over the next 7 days with further information.
The health and wellbeing of our staff, our audiences and our community are our first priority.
We’d like to thank you all for your continued support and patience over this time period.
Please keep safe and we’ll see you all soon.’

Meanwhile, Wetherspoon’s is still vowing to remain open. The pub chain’s customers are being told to pay by card only to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. The company also said visitors will be told to avoid standing at the bar and sit at alternate tables, under their plans to keep branches open.
