The St. Anne’s Food & Drink Festival Makes A Most Welcome Return

The St. Anne’s Food and Drink Festival returns on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th April. The 2022 event, to be held in St Anne’s Square, promises to be even bigger and better than before.

Highlights include two special tasting sessions focusing on gin on Saturday 9th, one in the afternoon (2.00 p.m. till 4.00 p.m.) and the other in the evening (6.00 p.m. till 8.00 p.m.). These two pre-purchased ticketed events (details of how to book below) will be held in a marquee in the carpark. However, pop-up food and drinks stalls in the adjoining carpark and square will be freely open to the public all day.

Already lined up for the ticketed gin event are Lytham Gin, Sandgrown Spirits, Black Powder Gin, Goosnargh Gin and Wild Fox Distillary. But they aren’t just bringing gin. Many have diversified during lock-down to distil other amazing products, meaning that there will be over 25 different drinks to sample, including their original Gins, plus new Rums and Liqueurs, with special deals on bottles from the suppliers. The £20 ticket includes: Drink samples from the various distilleries, a free souvenir glass for the event, grazing boards with samples of charcuterie, cheese, meat and pickle platters, provided by BoothsCountry, a private bar to purchase all of your favourite tipples plus music and entertainment all day.

Organisers say that this one day only event sells out every year so get tickets for you and your friends now at http://www.stannesginfestival.co.uk/  Please note that it’s over 18s only.

The Festival continues on Sunday 10th April with local eateries providing cooking demonstrations in the marquee alongside over forty food and drink stalls, showing visitors what’s on offer in St Anne’s to tickle your taste buds with free food samples. Family fun is guaranteed with face painters, Easter gifts, crafts and Bird of Prey demonstrations in the amphitheatre.
