The Trawl Boat Inn & The Railway Hotel Will Both Open On Monday 12th April

J.D.Wetherspoon have announced that both The Trawl Boat Inn and The Railway Hotel will open on Monday 12th April as both pubs have outside areas to accommodate customers. The pubs will be open from 9.oo a.m. to 9.00 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday and 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Under the Government’s Covid-19 secure guidelines, pubs reopening in April must have appropriate open-air spaces and offer table service. Wetherspoon customers will be able to pay through their free app, although staff members will still be on hand to take orders and payment at the outdoor tables.  While some pubs and restaurant chains may accept bookings, Wetherspoon won’t. Instead, customers will have to wait until they turn up before finding out whether there’s a free table. This could mean that customers may be asked to wait until space frees up at busier times.

Customers will be able to enter the pubs to gain access to use toilets. Test and trace will be in operation and hand sanitisers will be available.

Wetherspoon chief executive John Hutson said: ‘We are looking forward to welcoming our customers and staff back to our pubs.’
