Tier 3 Grants for enforced business closure now available!!

Certain businesses already affected by tier 3 level closure may now apply to Fylde Council for financial support.

Sadly, many local businesses in Lancashire were forced to once again close, as harsh ‘Tier 3 covid alert level : very high’ restrictions were imposed last month.

Many businesses had barely begun to regain momentum after the first lockdown, and had only a few weeks of summer trading respite to recover.

However, Fylde Council have opened the grant application process for those affected first –

From their official page –

Applications are now open for the Fylde Local Restrictions Support Grant

The following businesses who are legally required to close under Lancashire’s ‘Tier 3 COVID Alert Level Very high’ restrictions may be eligible for funding:

Pubs, bars, private members clubs, and social clubs (unless operating as a restaurant)
Adult gaming centres
Bingo halls
Casinos
Bookmakers and betting shops
Children’s soft play areas

Support packages for further mandatory business closures have yet to be announced, as Lockdown 2.0 looms from Thursday 5th November.

It is hoped there is greater scope for financial support within certain sectors for the self employed, some of whom were ineligible for support during the previous lockdown, with the music and arts industry in particular seemingly overlooked.

We will provide updates as soon as we have the official information.
