❗Emergency call out x3❗(February 22)

We were called out at 19.22 this evening to reports of a person possibly entering the water around the Central Pier area. We arrived on scene and searched the area and found the person in question, fortunately they were just out on a walk and was not in any difficulty.
A false alarm with good intent.👍

RNLI Blackpool were also tasked.👆

Just as we got stood down we received reports of a vulnerable person sat on the sea wall around the Glitter ball area, we arrived on scene and spoke with the casualty until the police arrived then passed the casualty into their care.

999Coastguard

We received the third report of the evening of another missing vulnerable person around the Tower area. We relocated and our flank team HM Coastguard Fleetwood were tasked to assist us with the search. We searched between Central Pier and North Pier extensively with nothing untoward found so all units were stood down.

People are urged to call 9️⃣9️⃣9️⃣ if you spot a coastal emergency and ask for the Coastguard❗🆘️ #AlwaysOnCall
