Two Arrested After Blackpool Man Has His Shoes & Phone Stolen

Two people have been charged with robbery after a man was assaulted in Blackpool.

Officers were called to an address in Blackpool on 21st February 2023 after reports of a male being assaulted in a near-by side alley.

He was assaulted on two occasions during the evening and his phone, shoes and cardholder were taken.

Peter Wood, 43, of no fixed address and Amanda Ashton, 44, of no fixed address have been charged with robbery and remanded into custody to appear at Crown Court on 27th March 2023.

Chief Superintendent Karen Edwards, Divisional Commander of West Division (pictured in featured photograph), said: ‘I am committed to utilising proactive interventions to target violence and serious acquisitive crime, keeping our communities in West Division safe. It is vital for my officers to continue to seek and gather intelligence and information from our communities and I offer my sincere thanks to the communities across the Division for their continued support.
